The “Dreamers case,” Garcia v. U.S.A., is the first lawsuit from DACA beneficiaries, and, if successful, would block the Trump Administration from ending the program. It asserts that the government has broken its promises about the DACA program, and that the government has violated 700,000 Dreamers’ rights to due process and liberty. Garcia has been consolidated with four other lawsuits brought by the State of California, the City of San Jose, the County of Santa Clara and the University of California.
